UK HC update no 1

Kolejny dobry band to Ironclad, ktorego ep pare dni temu przyniosl listonosz. Swietna muza ispirowana Holding On/Right Brigade/Wrong Side czy IME. Polecam

COLD SNAP Z NOTTS - HARDCORE

"Thank you and I love you..."

Mother autorstwa dumy PAHC i BFL crew - Krutch.

Tetraz te ciezko dostepne juz kompakty kompletuje sobie pladrujac co jakis czas ebay.

Z ciekawszych rzeczy nt. Krutch to to, ze goscie tworzacy go udzielaja sie/udzilali w praktycznie kazdej ciezej grajacej kapeli z Pensylwanii w ostatnich 10 latach - m.in. zajebistych Wisdom in Chains, Boxcutter, NWR, Mushmouth/Out to Win, Strength for a Reason, a takze w Comin Correct. W necie mozna jeszcze znalesc pare wywiadow z Richiem Krutch, znanym obecnie z gry w WIC.

pahxc: WHOS'S IN KRUTCH

Krutch is: me (Richie) on the guitar, Father Karl on vocals, Simon Smooth on bass, Battle on skins, Chris the brain on guitar, Big Poppa Joe vocals & various other shit...

pahxc: HOW MANY PEOPLE DID WE HAVE TO BEAT UP TO BE LABELED A TOUGH GUY BAND?

Good question, we became a "Tough Guy" band in 96', before that we where only in a triple A tough guy league....But in 96 we beat up the required amount to turn "PRO Tough Guy band"...I believe the number was 666..We are very very proud of our "TOUGH GUY BAND" Status, originally we where going to be a "Youth Crew" band, but we where not skinny enough..then we decided to try "Emo", but noone in the band wore glasses, plus sweaters make me itch..The whole Vegan thing woulda been great for us, except for the fact that we love to torture animals and stuff, so eventually we tried this "Tough Guy" style out, and it's workin' out O.K.

pahxc: KRUTCH HAS BEEN A BIG PART OF PAHC, HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE SCENE NOW COMPARED TO WHEN YOU FIRST STARTED?

Geez, when we first started off, there was nothing that we knew of going on, i mean the only shows in PA. that we where aware of where in Allentown, Pa. at a Club called O.J.'s and another place called "The Airport Music Hall", also Reading Pa. was having shows, but we never went to those...that place (airport) is now infamous, mad amounts of white power professional wrestling looking types of skinheads would be there at any givin time. VERY very violent, always riots..But they had the best shows...Only bands from Pa. I remember hearing about back then was "S*W*A*T" (exmushmouth guys) and "No Ones Hero" that was like 87/91 maybe, I'm not sure, but we recorded first in 89, just for ourselves, we really had no where to put this demo, we played like a dozen shows from 90/93 then we tried to get serious, at that time we started hitting shows in Scranton Wilkes Barre and also booking our own in Stroudsburg..About 95/97 I think the PAHC was greeat, always good bands passing through, lotta clubs having shows, kids doing 'zines and shows, good bands. We got to play out all the time, never had trouble finding shows...A real family vibe was in the air back then...Now a few years later...99/2000..Aww, it's O.K., PAHC gotta get hyped again...So comparing it to when we first began to now. i would have to use three stages at first...Crappy...Then DOPE...Now O.K....

pahxc: WHAT IS KRUTCHS DEFINITION OF HARDCORE?

Hmm, well you gotta look out for all the bands, be cool with everyone, you can't take shit off people though, thats not hardcore, if someone talks trash, you knock their teeth out, but don't start no beef..Just look out, be cool..Stay underground, it's not what you play, it's what you say. it's not about old school...it's about the scene..

IS ANYONE IN KRUTCH SxE?

Well I wouldn't say SxE, for example, I am "Drug Free" I always have been. Before I ever heard of harcore I was like this. being like this shows my family and friends a sort of respect, I don't drink, I don't use drugs, I have no excuses, If I steal from you, hit you, whatever, I can't say the next day "Sorry Bro, I was drunk". I gotta be like "Yea I did it, I was wrong, I have no excuse". If someone is stuck, i give them someone they can count on and trust 24 hours a day each and everyday. To me thats what being drug free is about, all this str8 edge bizness is kinda silly, when you look back at almost each and every SxE band from the past, and you hear the stories about how they fell off and sold out, well thats some sad stuff. I'm like this for life, if you are not, I'll kick your ass. No just kiddin, if you aren't no big deal, but I am. None of us call ourselves "SxE", but we all try to live healthy lives. Most of the people i deal with are not SxE, and thats fine with me, i like individuals. Is Krutch a SxE band?

I am, our bass player is, almost all of us are, but we are not a sXe band, we are a hardcore band. Forget this Krishna/SxE/EMO/And vegan stuff, we need less of that and more HARDCORE bands.

YOU GUYS TALK ABOUT UNITY, BUT THE NAME OF YOUR FIRST DEMO IS "STAND STRONG, STAND ALONE" DOESN'T THAT GO AGAINST UNITY?

Good question, When we say "Stand Strong Stand Alone" we are talking about hardcore music and it's relationships with other scene, not us within HC. I don't think for example that All Out War should be doing a show with Wu Tang Clan. There are plenty of hardcore bands have have unique sounds from one another, HC is different then punk rock in the sense that you can have a band like Merauder to Warzone to Damnation AD, none of them sound the same, but they are all hardcore bands, i talk about unity within the scene, "STand Strong Stand Alone" is about our scene staying seperate.

KRUTCH IS LABELED AS A "TOUGH GUY" BAND, ANY TRUTH TO THAT?

Most certainly.

ARE YOU SERIOUS? SO YOU GUYS BEAT PEOPLE UP?

No I'm not serious you retard, we don't cause trouble, but bleev me, we aren't about to take any crap from some herb kid that doesn't know us, but wants to put us down, I can't help that people call us tough guys, but there is nothing we can do about that. If defending your name is considered being a "tough guy" then we are.

You saved my life once again...

...paradoksalnie, kapele spod znaku 'wasted-white-trash-no tomorrow-hc' potrafia dac w zyciu kopa niekiedy wiekszego niz te wszystkie posi bandy razem wziete i jak smiesznie to nie zabrzmi, takie b4b na przyklad zawsze potrafilo mnie zmotywowac do dostrzegania pozytywow na przekor oczywiscie ich negatywnym tekstom hehe...

Death Threat z kolei to kolejna kapela wobec ktorej nie potrafie byc krytyczny, a do ktorej muzy micha cieszy sie sama.
